Noelle C. McCorriston, a versatile individual, hails from the Queen Charlotte Islands, now known as Haida Gwaii. Her path in life has taken her through a variety of professions, including presser at a dry cleaner, land clearing, cab owner, school bus driver, and B.C. scaler. In addition to these pursuits, she has served as Postmaster. She perseveres in her love for her family in spite of obstacles, especially as a single mother raising four children.
McCorriston started writing poetry and short stories in 2014 after realising she had a talent for writing. She has written nine poems and five short tales, including the well-known piece “The Unconquerable Dust,” as a result of her successful writing endeavours. Her writing highlights themes of resiliency, redemption, and the enduring power of love, all of which are rooted in her deep trust in God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

Mission to Inspiration
McCorriston’s debut book, “The Unconquerable Dust,” emerged from her reverence for animals and her belief in the ultimate victory of good over evil. Her writing journey began within an Art’s Alive group in Clearwater, British Columbia, where she found the nurturing environment she needed to flourish as an author.
Beyond her literary pursuits, McCorriston remains dedicated to her faith, family, and friends, with a hopeful vision of extending unconditional love to all of God’s creation. Currently residing in Kamloops, British Columbia, she continues to weave her experiences and convictions into captivating narratives that resonate with readers worldwide.
